So yeah, friday afternoon the police decided to put the lights on and harass me once again
Apparently not being able to engage full lock without the tyres hitting the arches is not allowed. Sorry officer, ill fix it right away
So jim did this.
Its now got gti trims on it and doesn't rub (sorta) on full lock, ill take a photo tomorrow after i put the rear ones on to match. I wasn't into it at first, but I think its pretty cool now ha.

i think its time for me to buy another car to ruin along side this one so that i can 'finish' the suspension properly and sort the bay out (tubbing it).

another option to keep the tires from hitting when the wheel is at full lock would be to limit the steering lock. alot of off road guys do it to keep their huge tires from hitting their frame. just a couple bushings on the steering rack to limit its travel and your done.
but, i guess since you already cut your fenders up its a little too late...

yeah we did think about it, but the amount of lock i actually had that was useable was pretty dumb haha. I needed a very large area to do a U turn, parking the thing was horrendous, but now i got a bit more lock its all good

I havnt taken any pictures this weekend but my new motor is sitting in my bay all raised up and lovely. hopefully get the gearbox mount finished tomorrow and get the steering column back in it should be going in the evening! Wish me luck
