So, who's left?

Handsome, Lucky, Old Guy, and RJ are out. Otti and his bro are still in and in transit from the fatherland.

Kris and Jen are doing a wedding so they are out.  Crying or Very sad

Still feel bad about not coming out for the C2C, but my cashlow condition required it Sad

If you guys get to Cleveland by Tuesday night, my place is still available  for sleep, showers, food, and a free night. RJ and I are leaving Wednesday in the AM for O.C.

Would love to still be a part of the C2C Smile

yea i was on the phone with those people for like 30 minutes trying to get the phone activated... then when they told me it was done it would just go to VM so i assumed it was because of the lack of coverage where we were... who knows...

"Again"? Shit, I'm surprised you two aren't still drunk from Saturday night.

Good to know y'all made the first half of your trip safely. Remember: the Ocean City buses are a drunk's best friend.

Why the hell do you keep calling them "Jens"?  Shrugs

So... being that everyone else is dragging their E-feet getting pictures up, Lucky's abandoned the site, and I have no photographic evidence of last weekend's shenanigans, I guess that means it's story time. My Bad

I suppose Friday night is when things began, being that some poor choices Friday, made for more wasted time on Saturday morning...
Matt was the first to arrive, he wins the award for "Longest distance driven," coming all the way from Pheonix, Az.
Sure, Otti and Tuki (still not certain how to spell that one...) flew all the way from another country, but their drive was considerably shorter than Matt's.

I believe he rolled in around 6:00pm, just as I was heading to a friend's shop to swap out Kitty's leaky wheel cylinder...
I had expected my sister's group to arrive first, as they were only 70 miles out at the time, so I was confused when I heard what sounded like an A1 pulling up in front of the shop. Confused
When I walked outside, I was greeted by a somewhat familiar face (harrier, these days) under a giant sombrero.  Mr. Green

Shabby the Shabriolet had escorted him the whole trip without any issues... or top. Winking
To be honest, she has a top, but Matt is a firm believer that a convertible top is to keep the precipitation off the interior, when parked.
Matt also made the trip home, heading out about midnight, with the top still in the lowered position.  Big Glasses

After hauling his luggage inside, we took off to try & repair Kitty. My sister, Cassie, and her group which ended up consisting of my buddy, Lucas got there by the time we got the car on the lift, and the rear wheels off. Matt headed to the store for a 6 pack, and I ripped apart the passenger side drum.
If I had any sense, I would've started on the driver's side, as that was the leaky cylinder, because as luck (and Kitty) would have it, when I got to the other side, one of the allen heads was stripped, and I couldn't even get the cylinder off.

So, let's cover what I'd managed to accomplish...
Perfectly working part replaced with new part? Check.
Air in the brake lines? Check.
Majority of brake fluid drained? Check.
Bolt stripped? Check.

That was a terrible waste of limited time... Then I realized I'd left the brake fluid back at my shop... Perfect.
We rolled brakeless to taco bell for a quick bite, then back to the shop to park Kitty, get changed, and ready for the evening's events, which we were already bordering on late for.  Neutral

Earlier in the week, I had mixed up my dates, and told everyone to go to the wrong place on Friday... not such a big deal once I caught it on Thursday, except for the fact that I had no means of contacting our Germans.  D'oh!

So, I hoped they had would check the152 to get my message, cause I had no other way of contacting them.  Silenced

Matt, Cassie, Locash, and I headed to the roadhouse (no sign of Swayze, or his "ghost" RedFace ) to meet up with Lucky, her sister: Sunshine, and Rodney.
We enjoyed some tunes, introduced, where applicable, and chatted while we waited for Nick, Simon, Ryon, his friend....  Ramzes, or something... I wasn't introduced Shrugs ... and an unlikely call from Zee Germans.  Anxious

I got a call from Nick, saying he made it 2 steps in the door, before the bartender threw him out. Razz
So, I went out to see what was up. Usually Montana bars are good about kids, or at least people over 18 hanging out, so long as they're not drinking... This bar wasn't so lenient.... after 9pm, anyway.  Rolling Eyes

Nick showed his displeasure for their lack of hospitality (actually more of showing off his car, if you want to get technical) by dragging his Rabbit up and down the highway, throwing sparks.  Razz

We then piled in the cars, and headed to the next (whiskey) bar, for some karaoke... Turns out it was a slow night, and the dj went home... The bartender gave us five bucks for the jukebox, but told Nick he had to wait outside. D'oh! (we just can't seem to find a break for the poor kid, our friends were supposed to be bartending and DJing there.)
So, we all headed out back, had a few drinks, and then headed back to the shop/hotels for some rest.

Saturday morning I was awoke by messages from Steve, saying that Zee Germans were trying to get ahold of me... Which shouldn't have been that difficult, considering they had my number. Screwy
He sent me the number for the hotel they were at, but when I called, it was busy. Eventually I got through, and gave them directions to the shop... which they also had. Razz

Once that was sorted,we decided to get some coffee. So Lucky & Matt took Bandit, while I drove Nick's Rabbit, and Simon waited for Zee Germans... and got an early start on drinking.  ROFL
Nick and I had a good time trying to stop the car via the drag block on our way through the drive-thru, and frightening pedestrians by dragging by them... That car's a lot of fun. Yeah Dude!

When we returned, we got things ready to bleed Kitty's brakes... I had lost my custom "pressure bleeder" cap, so I had to make another one.  Rolling Eyes
Lucky ran home to get ready, while we bled the brakes, and waited on Zee Germans.

About 3 hours after I had talked with them, a silver, late model Toyota, covered in tape came rolling down the street. Otti and Tuki had finally arrived.  Cheers!

They had stopped at a store to stock up on beer, filled their cart, got it all up to the register, and the cashier asked for their Costco card. laughing hard
The poor guys had never heard of Costco, and because they had no card, the bastards wouldn't let them buy the beer.... They should've noticed by they accent that these two were German.... and in dire need of beer. How cruel of Costco to deprive them.  Not talking
So, we cracked open a couple beers for them, and watched their eyes light up. Razz

Simon helped Zee Germans set up their new phone, while we finished up Kitty...
We were putting Kitty back on the ground right about the time Lucky showed back up. Not too terrible timing, but I had hoped to wash her, first.
The plan for the day was a cruise around the lake, but a few of us needed to wash cars, and we decided to put seats in a third car, so Otti and Tuki didn't have to ride... or drive the Toyota.

Half the crew wanted food, so Zee Germans (Car 152 Razz )  and Ryon's Evo (also, car 152 Think ) headed for Five Guys, while we went to wash the cars... Cassie had gone for soap, but ended up meeting Ryon and Ramzes at Burger King,(kinda defeating the purpose of being able to wash the cars, while they're off eating. D'oh! ) after they had split up with Zee Germans, who eventually found their way to Five Guys, then didn't know where to find us, because their phone didn't work.... It became pretty apparent that Zee Germans were going to spend a lot of time being lost.

More later....
