As most of you probably already know from Kelly's thread, there are some east coast kids planning on driving out west, just to make the road trip to H2O with us west coast kids. Love it Their dedication to fun is humbling. bow

Sooo.... we thought we would get an early start to next year's plans, in the hopes that possibly more people will be inspired to figure out how they can make the trip. ThumbsUp

While we are primarily focussed on gathering other MK1 kids to make the trip, should you only have one of them other kinds of cars that aren't a MK1, as long as it's a VW, and you are down for a good time, we probably wouldn't deny you the adventure. Think

The train from Seattle to Montana will be leaving on Saturday September 19th, then there will be a big send off party and G2G at the shop in Kalispell, Montana on Saturday night, to make sure everybody's car is ready and such. Then we will be heading out Sunday morning, to allow a little extra time for car troubles, as well as getting into some good old fashioned immature trouble along the way. Giggle

If you are unable to be in either Seattle or Montana at departure time, and are somewhere along the way, and wish to fall into the caravan, you are more than welcome to do so. The more the merrier! Smooove

We have set up an entire web site dedicated to this adventure, so feel free to pass along the link to anybody you think might be interested, or post it up in any other VW forums you might belong to, etc. I'll be bumping this thread throughout the next year, with more details and plans, etc., hopefully encouraging some of you to come along for what is guaranteed to be a fabulous and crazy time. Servin em

That sounds like soooo much fun!!!

This coming year is a definite for OC. I have some more plans for WB this coming year, and am NOT gonna miss another topless season.

Can't do the whole west-to-east thing, still have my daughter to do the parenting thing for. :)

So I'm down with being at the show, just can't do the road trip, at least not for a couple more years... Smile Maybe 2011, or 12...

Unless of course, there's a cooler show somewhere else.  Egyptian

OK, here’s the deal. Yeah, I want one (I cant believe you would imply otherwise)  BUT some other parties in my marital household incorrectly believe that I don’t need any more cars. I mean she fairly obviously wrong, but it has proven to be quite difficult to get her to acknowledge this.

Its just going to be a matter of coming up with the right car at the right time.

It’ll come, its just a time thing.

I was looking at some pics of my OLD MK1 GTI I had in high school on the weekend.

GOD I wish I'd just kept it.... would have made things ALOT easier.

You're right though, it does give me almost a year to sort it out.

Giggle  Well... I wanted to add some memories from the trip to the movie.... silly

I was going to make the Bucket break down and get left in the first or 2nd frame, but I figured since it didn't make it this year, I'd let it at least roll through to 2-D H2O... laughing hard
